Week Four - Flat and Habitat

The week began with a beautiful sunrise over the goat farm. It was extra special since I love sunrises and it was my birthday (62 woo!). We left early so we could make it to Cut Bank, Montana for church.

When we stopped at a cafe for breakfast Jeff discovered a tire completely blown out. Jeff didn't have the right tool for the problem. Breakfast and church were within walking distance and both were awesome.

In this tiny church of 20 people there was a mechanic with the tool needed to replace the tire. He led us to his shop.

And fixed it in five minutes. 😇
God is so cool. It is a joy to see how He works. We aren’t going to church to check any boxes or to get divine intervention when we need it. We want to worship God and hear Him speak and see Him working in different places. That is the adventure.

Next stop Kalispell, Montana - These are the Care A Vaners. This is an opportunity for RV travelers to go to a Habitat for Humanity location and volunteer two weeks of building.

It’s not pretty being parked behind Habitat’s ReStore,
but there are still sunrises.

This Mountain Ash has captured my awe. It’s next to the Habitat house where we’re working.

This house is for Sam and her two children.

Habitat encourage its volunteers to write blessings on the doorframes.

In his element

A “foot” note: After five days on steroids last week for my swollen feet, the swelling returned plus some. So back to see another NP at a walk in clinic. This one was wonderful. She took X-rays and ran labs. Now I’m on 16 days of steroids and waiting on labs for answers. I’ll have to say I painted half of the inside of that house by myself, two coats and without a wink of sleep the night before. God is good all the time.
